Sometimes I really really miss living back home in East Texas.
It’s nice to be able to get away from the busy city and visit my parents in our beautiful, cozy, country home.
I love it so much! The giant porch with the sleep cat, the rocking chairs,
the garden my mom and dad built together, and of course those crazy chickens.
Last weekend when I visited I snapped some photos and thought I’d share a little piece of my home with you.. Enjoy!

This past weekend I got to shoot a beautiful wedding for a sweet couple. It was in the most amazing mansion off highway 80 in Mineola, TX. Each room was filled with so much character and detail, chandeliers, books, amazing rugs.. I spent over an hour just exploring and getting lost in it. And not just the inside was amazing, but the landscaping outdoors was to die for. Beautiful flowers, enormous trees, a private lake. It was the perfect place for Jennifer and Kyle to get married. Although it looked a little dreary outside, it made for nice lighting and thankfully the rain held off for the entire ceremony and reception. Thanks for letting me a part of your big day you two!

Also, thanks to the bride for my beautiful Brighton earrings! I ♥ them!

Last Friday I shot some website photos for the new location of The Lab at Lakewood.
It’s the cutest little kids place for all things science and tons of fun.
They even gave me some of my very own pink slime!
This new location will be opening in June and will be holding Summer camps and classes!
If you’re in the Dallas area you should definitely look them up.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the momma’s out there! Yesterday I spent some time out at (beautiful) Tyler State Park helping the Reese clan create this special surprise Mother’s Day gift for their mom (and grandmother), Connie.

I can’t help but think about myself one day being a mom.. I don’t know what I would do if my kids made me something like this. I’d be so happy! I did just get word from one of the 9 siblings that she DID love it and was “blown away” so that makes me super happy! Isn’t this such a fun family?! Thanks for having me Reeses! Had so much fun.

Oh and thanks to Canaan, my assistant for the day ;)
